I just glanced at my profile—my Zodiac year is the Ox. I’m on the cusp between Taurus and Gemini, I assume there’s a correlation?
I don’t follow astrology and can’t tell you what my children’s astrological signs are. Does this make me a bad parent? I don’t know, let me check my horoscope.
Why isn’t my Zodiac year something cool like the Horse or the Tiger? The Ox is so… bovine. With worries about mad cow disease, I’m truly not comfortable being born in the year of the Ox.
I know cows are revered in many cultures, but ours isn't one of them. Although I've come close to giving divine thanks for the perfect hamburger (mushrooms, pepper jack cheese, avocado, specially seasoned beef).
I suppose it's presumptuous to request a shift of the Chinese astrological calendar?
